I have enjoyed countless of rounds of vingt-et-un. I began sneaking into the casinos when I was sixteen. I have gambled on online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. With all that said I have still lost a lot of money at chemin de fer. The gambling dens have made it very hard to beat the house.

I still like the game and bet on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have played a variation of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You definitely will not get loaded with this method or beat the casino, however you will experience a lot of fun. This method is based on the idea that vingt-et-un seems to be a game of runs. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you are not you are NOT!

I bet with basic strategy 21. When I do not win I bet the table minimum on the next hand. If I don’t win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand again etc. As soon as I win I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the bet back down to the original value.

I am very disciplined and do not back out. It gets very exciting on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quick. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had great streaks a few times now. I departed a $5 table at the Venetian a few years ago with $750 after 30 minutes using this technique! And a couple of days ago in Macau I left a game with $1200!

You must understand that you can say good-bye to much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be aghast at the runs you see wagering this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a 5 dollar game.

Wager 5 dollar
Take $5 paid to you, leave the first $5 wager

Bet five dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total bet of ten dollar

Wager ten dollar
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the original 10 dollar wager

Wager 10 dollar
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total bet of 20 dollar

Wager twenty dollar
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial twenty dollar wager

Wager $20
Leave $20 paid-out to you for a total bet of forty dollar

Bet $40
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 40 dollar bet

Wager 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $80

Bet eighty dollar
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $80 bet

Wager $80
Leave $80 paid to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar

Bet $160
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $160 bet

If you left at this point you would be up $315 !!

It’s iffy to go on a streak this long, but it will happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and drop your wager or the end result will not be the same.
